My goodness me, we are in for some celebration at midwinter! So much super stuff to celebrate. There is the next phase of the wheel of course, the wheel of the year that is, when we celebrate the returning light. That goes without saying, but this year, we will have even more cause to celebrate!
I have some absolutely marvellous news, we have had our first successful live otter time travel trial! Zsofia Smoothcoat and Peter Paddlefoot have done us proud and returned from quite an adventure.
I have had a verbal debrief from the two of them plus Brian and Debbie, the whole thing sounds splendid and slightly concerning. Apparently they went a little further than expected and saw some very intriguing things. Large paw prints were mentioned and some form of supply stockpile I believe.
The whole thing was not without some drama mind you, otter time travel depends on far more than just the setting on the time dial I am told. Apparently water – time flow rate can be altered by enthusiastic swimming and there is a very strict rule now in place to forbid Cedric from eating chocolate covered sunflower seeds. Extremely sensitive to sugar, hamsters, it would seem!
I have also learned that the return trip through time is much easier. I had no idea! Brian said something about over-stretched elastic bands and emergency return protocols. It was wonderful stuff, full of words and extravagant gestures.
Anyway, I think the best otters to tell you about this first class adventure would be Peter and Zsofia. They are busy putting the finishing touches to their report and I will publish it on here just as soon as I can!
I have been somewhat busy myself, I have been chatting to the lovely Lucy Littlepaws. She has interviewed me as part of her Influential Otters Series. I am expecting to see it in print any time now!

What marvellous news!! Time travelling otters! They are so very brave. I can’t wait to read Peter & Zsofia’s report. They deserve an extra big sandwich for their efforts! Your interview with Lucy Littlepaws is just wonderful. You certainly are an otter of influence!!

Peter and Zsofia had a marvellous adventure 🙂 they are just trying coordinate their report writing…it is tricky as they have very different styles…
Otters of Influence may very well become a regular feature on the chronicles 😀

Otters of Influence does indeed sound like an excellent feature!
(Loving that Boris Johnson gets a tag in this post too!!)

I think it will become a feature 🙂
I like the idea of writing it, with all the different otter voices 😊
Boris Johnson’s tag may have been accidental but he was the inspiration for the decoy otters so maybe he should be tagged more often 😁

I look forward to hearing from all the lovely otters!
Isn’t it amazing how Boris has inspired so many great things… which is madness, when you think about it… 😀

It is total madness really, but inspiration comes from odd places (apparently…)
