More rivers than you could shake a tail at!

Hello there!

What a fine day it is! Lots of lovely rain to make sure the rivers and streams are nice and full! The swimlanes in the Holt were getting a bit low in all that hot, dry weather I can tell you! Simon Swifttail was particularly perturbed, he barely travels on land at all that one!

Talking of Simon Swifttail, the quantum and prophecy departments are discussing the possibility of him accompanying Zsofia and Peter on an expedition. Something about him being best placed to identify prophecy markers I am told. They feel it would be useful for him to interact with the rainforest otters.

Of course we need to find the rainforest chaps again first. The transport was something of an emergency and the dials were just set to water. We know they ended up in a rainforest by a gigantic river. Do you know how much rainforset there is in Brazil near a gigantic river? Well, its more than you could shake a tail at I can tell you!!

The expedition teams have been popping backwards and forwards to future Brazil like nobody’s business, but so far no one has pinpointed the landing site from the first beta test. I am assured that Peter and Brian are collating a great deal of data about all of this. I have a feeling I may need to review this data, or some of it at least, just to be sure that they are not throwing otters at South America’s future all willy nilly! An otter scatter approach is not what we were going for after all! Most certainly not!!!

There is a tremendous amount of uproar associated with all of this you know, it is hard to believe there is anything else going on around here but I have received a good amount of non-time travel related reports and communiques so I can only assume some fellows are managing something!

By far the most splendid of these reports is from Donald Fastpaws and Lucy Littlepaws, regarding the progress of Littlepaws gin. I am told there have been numerous taste tests of different blends of botanicals and additions and such. It would certainly seem that they have been doing extensive testing, there are extensively written notes on each of these blends and a good many ideas for some future developments! My word yes, a great many notes! I think I may suggest to Lucy that she and Donald write up their reports at a time that is separate from their tasting.

The general gist of these notes is that everything is absolutely marvellous, apart from anchovies, which I gather shouldn’t be added to gin. Now that’s a surprise, I would have thought anchovy gin would be a treat. They are the experts I suppose..

They have I am lead to believe, settled on a final combination, and the first very exclusive batch is ready for tasting! This sounds absolutely capital! I think it is time to have a sample. I am going to head along to the distillery without hesitation.

Splendid, absolutely splendid. I think this calls for a celebration. We absolutely must have a first rate launch party!
The otters of the Holt and I will have gin and tonic!
