It’s time for the off…

Wow! It’s been non stop since we got in here!

I am glad we brought all those snacks!

Yes of course we have the time wheel now but it needs some recalibrating and maintenance before we can get it up and running again and it’s been all paws to the pumps!

Oh yes! hello! It’s Zsofia Smoothcoat here, the others are dealing with some disturbances at the door as well as the time wheel so I thought I would update you!

It’s quite chaotic at the moment because the OIA are making a concerted effort to break into the lab! We are well barricaded in and Horace is on the other side of it, doing a valiant job of keeping the miscreants at bay, he can be quite fearsome when he puts his mind to it! He is only one wildcat though and there are a fair few of those OIA chaps! He can’t keep it up forever! If you are wondering why we are not involving Olivia and her security crew in holding the door, we decided at the start of all this that She and Lucy and the ones we left in the wider Holt would try to maintain the pretence of us being an isolated resistance group, after all it’s better to have insiders when we need them than to lay all our cards in the pond straight off! Obviously Horace has had to show his paw and defend the door but hopefully the others will still be ok!

I am not going to tell you about the wheel maintenance because I am not Peter, suffice it to say we have managed got the thing up and running and have decided we need to mount an expedition to the River Raft as soon as we can! To be completely honest, we knew this already, but the situation outside the door has made it even more pressing!

Of course, much to my frustration this is taking a lot more planning than we anticipated! Peter has been consulting his backup timeline to figure out when we need to arrive! It wouldn’t do at all if we arrived before they had ever heard of us, and after the previous visits wouldn’t work either as they apparently knew about all of this from the very first (from our perspective) visit.

Some forewarning would have been nice I say, but they are very keen on temporal continuity and apparently some of the outcomes depend on us not knowing about events ahead of time! We have identified a patch on the timeline that has very imprecise details attached to it. Peter has never been able to get anything useful about this period out of Camilla, she apparently gives some half hearted answer then changes the subject as soon as it is mentioned, so we are aiming for then! Sometime in the middle of then!

Right then, I need to go and prep for this mission, now we have identified the landing time and Brian has just told me we have re-reconnected all of the temporal flow tubes it is finally time for the off! I can hear Cedric and Herbert getting the wheel warmed up as we speak!

It’s time to kit up, we have a lot to take with us this time, I wonder how the time wheel procedure will react if we try to go through with quantum pockets tied to our tails…
