An exceedingly fine nibble!

Hello there chaps out in the world! We have been having an absolutely marvellous time here in the Holt over the last few days! There have been some fantastic things going on, really fantastic!

The temporal team have been in particularly high spirits as the second expedition two weeks into the future returned successfully, and in the expected manor. That is to say through the time tank and time wheel rather than using the emergency elastic band whatnots.

This is exceptionally good news, as it means that the world is not going to end in the next two weeks and the temporal team will not have been removed from their research department. In short the Holt will be functioning as normal for the next two weeks.

Probably.

They won’t actually tell me exactly what happened. The tell me they met me and we had a chat, they won’t tell me what about. Something to do with maintaining the continuity of the timeline or some such thing. I am not sure about that myself, If they chat with me then surely I know what I am going to say, future me is just me after all… I would tell me! I has a strong suspicion they are just trying to put off writing their report.

They’ll have to turn it in eventually…then I’ll know what I said or am going to say, or something. To be quite honest the whole thing is making me somewhat twitchy…

Instead of thinking about that I’ll tell you a little about the other splendid thing I have been involved in this week. I mentioned that there is a great deal of enthusiasm in the Primary school about time travel, young Lucas and his little friends are extremely interested in becoming time adventurers, so I thought it would be first rate for them to have a visit to the temporal department and see what goes on.

The little fellows were extremely excited, they have been making models of the time wheel in class and designing their own time travel outfits. They wore them on the field trip, some of them had all sorts of outstanding time gadgets!!  Brian gave them a very inspiring sounding talk about how the wheel works and Debbie gave them some practical demonstrations of the wheel working. All very safe they assured me, did all sorts of risk assessments before hand and gave Cedric the day off. Unfortunately I was called away before the end of the trip so I can’t tell you exactly what went on. According to his mother, young Lucas was extremely excited when he came home and has volunteered to write a report for me! I am very much looking forward to reading it, very much indeed!

It has been a super few days, absolutely super! Not least because the magnificent shipment of whisky has arrived from Donald Fastpaws and his Islay distillers. Goes down a treat with some clams and a nice langoustine. Not my normal snack, but an exceedingly fine nibble I can tell you!

  1. Certainly does sound like a fine nibble! Scotch whisky cannot be beaten and requires the finest of accompaniments. Bravo to Donald Fastpaws! I am delighted to learn that the world will not end in the next two weeks. I have just filled up my freezer and it would be a shame for food to go to waste. Thank goodness Cedric had the day off when the little otters came to visit – I dread to think what might have happened if someone slipped him a chocolate covered seed!

      1. I can just imagine the pickle Lutra will get into trying to describe a meeting with otters from the past…
I only hope he never time travels and that s into his future self!
In two weeks we will definitely find out how he deals with it… I am not sure if fire-knowledge will help or hinder the meeting…

      2. Well, I am hoping Debbie shorttail will be able to help, she was pretty on the ball when there was a Cedric annihilation possibility…
Lutra is harder to hold onto than a Cedric though…
