A wildcat named Horace

Morning Chaps! I have been back down to see Simon and Seska in their research lab, we have been having a lot of discussions about the implications of the notices that Peter and Zsofia brought back from the future. Simon believes they hold the key to unlocking more of the prophecy. Valuable insights in to the future of otterkind he said…and something about portents or some such thing.

I did manage to get a couple of photos of the remaining important notices. There were others too, one about a hat sale and a rather splendid sounding hiking trip organised by the social committee. I am told that these two were not the main focus of the research, can’t think why, hats sales are extremely important I say!

Well this is marvellous! Simon says this is concrete proof that the prophecy is a window into the future. To be honest I think he was stating the obvious a little. Even I can see that this Horace is the wildcat in the prophecy. Far too much of a coincidence otherwise! I for one can’t wait to chat to him. Horace sounds like a fine fellow!

This is fascinating. We seem to be going to change the format of the decoy rota. Our current one is more linear. I can definitely see why this one is important! Changes to stationery are not to be taken lightly!

Ahh no, I see, this was what Debbie was explaining to me, it is no the change in the template that is important, it is the date! According to Debbie and the temporal team this allows us to pin down the month to which the adventure chaps traveled. This gives us a way to calibrate the time wheel I am told. We know what Cedric was eating and Peter and Zsofia know how fast they were swimming. Debbie believes we can use this to become more accurate when we send the time otters out on expeditions.

These developments are truly fantastic. Simon and Debbie seem to be forming an alliance and developing a plan for more time swims! Once Brian has calibrated the time wheel we will be away!

Well as long as someone can find a way to control that damned hamster!

  1. Hurrah! At last the wildcat! And he seems a friendly sort and fond of snacks and mingling – Horace will be made most welcome, I can tell! Very interesting about the discovery of the rota, too. Those clever otters are really getting the hang of this time travel lark!

    1. Horace is going to be a very welcome addition. It does seem as though he is going to get along with the otters very well. I am not sure Cedric will like him much… he may feel somewhat nervous…
but I m sure Horace is quite civilised!
We just need Brian to get on calibrating things then hey can be off in more fact finding missions…

      1. Hmm that naughty Cedric might benefit from having Horace keeping him on his toes – it might encourage him to behave himself! Mischievous hamsters need a firm paw.
I’m sure Brian will get the hang of it in no time. At least, I hope so – I am awaiting more adventures!! 😀

      2. That is true, Cedric could certainly do with a firm paw!!
I think Brian is more than capable of getting the calibration sorted in double quick time. Debbie and Simon are raring to send more information gathering expeditions!

  2. The Cedrics will certainly be hoping that Horace is not one of the world’s deadliest wildcats. Although, just supposing he were to eat one of the Cedrics, I wonder what would happen to the other?

    1. Decoy otters are the ones that go out in public and do extra cute otter things! They are to distract the general population from any disturbing or incongruous developments in the Otter world…

      1. Lutra only puts out the information about the developments you are allowed to know about… much remains hidden…
there is far more to that Otter than his blustery snack loving exterior would have you believe…
